What would you do for your people? What would you do in order to secure a lasting peace for your kind? Would you go to the ends of the earth to get them land, food, supplies. To restore your people to former glory that you believe to be theirs
This is what makes Garrosh a great villian. But also a tragic character to say the least
Garrosh Hellscream is the son of Grom. He was born in Outlands. He was wrought with weakness of both body and spirit (in that order) when he was young. He fell sick due to epidemic and also later a depression upon hearing that his father, had become a raving monster who had made a pact with demons to increase his own powers with fighting for the Ancient Horde. These events were only the beginning of his journey for when the Dark Portal reopened and Thrall, the at time warchief, came to uplift the Mag'har Garrosh learned of his fathers heroic deeds to clense the orcs of their demonic taint and was thus uplifted himself.
This however started a change in the young orc. From the get go he was much against the policies that Thrall implamented for the Horde. He was young and headstrong believing in that they should be doing all they can to survive and to take what they should to keep their people safe. For living in the lands of Durotar was not an easy life by any stretch. He clashed constently with Thrall till he finally challaged him for leadership of the Horde. But the coming of the Lich King forstalled any of his ambitions. Instead he was placed in charge of the Horde army and sent to Northrend to deal with the risen Undead Scorge.
His heroics, and the breaking of the world placed the young and brash Garrosh into the seat of Warchief of the Horde. This change in leadership shifted the foundations of the Horde itself. For once the Horde was created by a group of like minded individuals who work together to survive in this world. The Trolls, Tauren, Forsaken, Blood Elfs, and eventually the newest members of the Horde, the Goblins and later Panderian all felt the sting of Garrosh as he began to change the Horde into the war machine he craved.
But that was what he thought was nessisary. The Horde, in Garrosh's mind, did not deserve the treatement it had been given from the Alliance. He saw them as mearly an obsitcle. They needed to be put down and cast aside so that the Horde could have the best future. Garrosh was so fixated on this though. He saw anything that did not comply with him to be disposable. He began to change as he sought power. Power that would help build him an army to help stop
This soon had the Horde tareing itself apart. This once great faction soon began to crumble at the seems. As Garrosh saw the petty scwables of the Horde nothing in comparison to others. He mearly saw the other members of the Horde as mearly tools to used and disposed. The Blood Elves he used to capture ancient artifacts the ended up having them expelled from the great city of Dalaren. The Trolls were quarentined and their leader Vol'jin had an attempt on his own life. The Forsaken were even used as nothing but foder and even the Tauren were nothing but war engines. The goblins even lost as they never did get their payment for many of the things Garrosh asked them to do.
That being said Garrosh continued to move forward. He continued to strive for dominance. The war with him is starting to come to an end though. As the Seige of Orgrimar is fast coming the Horde and Alliance both seek to end Garrosh's reign as warchief. For now he has gained power that could well be beyond his own control.
For there is nothing he will do, or destroy, to make sure life continues for the Garrosh's Horde
